Se continúan las tareas de restauración y conservación de la Casa de la Cultura de General Paz 48, con fondos municipales.
En esta etapa se ejecutan trabajos sobre las cubiertas, en el sector Sur (110 m2), habiendo completado la parte Este y evitando así que siga ingresando agua de lluvia desde el techado y logrando detener la destrucción de los perfiles de soporte.
Las tareas incluyeron la demolición de la cubierta de techo, en habitaciones denominadas Sala de los Intendentes, Dormitorio Araya y contiguas, trabajándose actualmente en la colocación de una cubierta metálica liviana nueva, apoyada sobre los parapetos de la vivienda, resolviendo el conjunto en un todo armónico, contemporáneo y removible.
La propuesta busca, mantener el estado original del edificio y eliminar con ello todas las actuaciones posteriores que solo han traído otras complicaciones al conjunto edilicio.
Hacia el interior de la edificación, los trabajos comprendieron la colocación de perfiles IPN bajo la losa existente, quedando pendiente la reparación de todo el cielorraso que se encuentre comprometido y deteriorado, demoliendo y construyendo nuevo, protegiendo la obra como unidad, sin borrar huellas o elementos vinculados a su historia.
Vale recordar que en base al trabajo de un estudio arquitectónico de la ciudad de Córdoba, especializado en restauraciones de construcciones antiguas y contratado por el municipio, se dividieron las tareas en tres grandes etapa: La primera y que se está cumpliendo ahora, se refiere a la intervención en el techo, luego le seguirán los trabajos en las instalaciones sanitarias y finalmente se abocarán a la solución de los problemas de humedad en las paredes.
